The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher to join our team and inspire students through creative and engaging lessons. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to fostering a love of drama and performance in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality drama lessons that are engaging, creative, and aligned with curriculum standards.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage student participation, creativity, and performance skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and school-wide initiatives.
• Provide enrichment and extracurricular opportunities in drama, including after-school activities and performances.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Ensure the safe and effective use of ICT tools in teaching and learning.
• Support students through pastoral care and form tutoring responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status
• A teaching qualification that meets the requirements of your home country (B.Ed, PGCE, GDE etc)
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification teaching experience in a similar role and subject area
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching
• Excellent interpersonal skills with both adults and children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

• Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL
• Experience of modeled creative acting styles and techniques encompassing varied history genres and performance techniques
• Experience of working with highly aspirational and able students
• Knowledge of Health and Safety & Safeguarding/Child Protection procedures and their application
