The Opportunity:

As a Business Support Officer - Finance, you will play a key role in delivering efficient and effective financial support to a school committed to excellence in education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the school’s financial systems and processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Maintain and update financial records using appropriate software and systems.
  • Collaborate with the wider business support team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff, pupils, and external partners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
  • Experience of working in a finance setting.
  • Experience of using a financial system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
