Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons using the Eduqas specification at GCSE level.
- Support the continued success of the English department through collaboration and shared planning.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that reflect the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s wider community.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to ensure all pupils reach their full potential.
- Work closely with the pastoral team to support student well-being and personal development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Experience of teaching GCSE English Language and Literature.
- Commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a Church of England school or similar setting.
- Experience with pastoral support and student welfare.
- Leadership experience within a teaching department.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities and school events.
