The Opportunity:
As a Campus Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and support to learners with SEND, SEMH, and autism. This leadership position is essential to maintaining strong standards in teaching, pastoral care, and operational management across the campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the campus team to ensure excellent outcomes for learners with complex needs.
- Act as the primary contact for staff, learners, parents/carers, and external agencies.
- Oversee teaching standards, curriculum planning, and assessment strategies to support the college’s Quality Improvement Plan.
- Promote a positive, inclusive culture by leading on behaviour management, learner wellbeing, and safeguarding.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, health and safety, and data protection requirements.
- Monitor attendance and implement strategies to improve learner engagement and outcomes.
- Line manage teaching and support staff, providing performance management and professional development.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree in Education or related field and Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards).
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, with leadership experience in specialist education.
- Proven success in improving learner outcomes and behaviour.
- Experience managing staff and ensuring operational compliance.
- Experience working with learners with SEND and SEMH.
Preferred
- Leadership qualification.
- Experience with safeguarding and Ofsted/ISA requirements.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusion strategies.
