The Opportunity:

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals for students, staff, and guests across a variety of events and daily services. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Chef to grow within a dynamic and supportive kitchen team, with potential for progression to Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver fresh, high-quality dishes for daily service and special events.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Senior Chefs to ensure consistency and excellence in food service.
  • Contribute to menu planning and large-scale food production for events such as weddings and fine dining evenings.
  • Support the development of a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
  • Manage inventory and monitor stock levels to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with the school’s standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes.
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in event catering or large-scale food production.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and cost-effective food preparation.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute to team development.
