Salary

The prorated salary for a full academic year (approximately 33 weeks @ 8.5 hours per day) is approximately £25,000 - £26,205 per annum depending on skills and experience.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Assistant for EYFS to join a dynamic team. This role plays a vital part in supporting young learners and contributing to a stimulating and progressive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to EYFS students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans tailored to student needs.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
  • Collaborate with other Learning Assistants and teachers to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching practices.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that support student development and engagement.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to the planning and organisation of classroom resources and activities.
  • Uphold the school's values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent early years qualification.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of early years curricula and pedagogy.
  • Experience with supporting children with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with teaching French, Music, or other specialist subjects.
