The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Assistant for EYFS to join a dynamic team. This role plays a vital part in supporting young learners and contributing to a stimulating and progressive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to EYFS students.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans tailored to student needs.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Collaborate with other Learning Assistants and teachers to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching practices.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that support student development and engagement.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Contribute to the planning and organisation of classroom resources and activities.
- Uphold the school's values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent early years qualification.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or early years setting.
- Knowledge of early years curricula and pedagogy.
- Experience with supporting children with additional needs.
- Familiarity with teaching French, Music, or other specialist subjects.
