The Opportunity:

A Private Tutor is needed to provide academic and structured support for three young boys, with a primary focus on preparing the eldest for a bilingual school in Switzerland. This role combines academic instruction with athletic engagement, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a structured learning program tailored to the eldest boy’s academic needs, with a focus on English and French language development.
  • Incorporate physical activity and competitive elements into lessons to support the boys’ learning styles and maintain engagement.
  • Create and maintain visual schedules to provide consistency and predictability in the boys’ daily routines.
  • Facilitate social development by researching and recommending age-appropriate clubs, sports teams, and activities in New York.
  • Collaborate with the family’s French sports coach, manny, and other household staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the boys’ development.
  • Support the eldest boy’s emotional needs, providing calm and structured guidance to help him manage anxiety and build confidence.
  • Adapt to the family’s international lifestyle, including travel across Europe and the US before transitioning to Switzerland.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Experience in primary education and academic support for young children.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to create structured, engaging learning environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and enthusiasm for athletic activities.

Preferred

  • Spanish language skills.
  • Experience working with children with anxiety or special educational needs.
  • Background in sports or physical education.
