The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will inspire and educate students at IGCSE and A-Level in a dynamic and supportive learning environment. You will play a key role in preparing students for university and future careers in science, medicine, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry at IGCSE and A-Level to a motivated and engaged student body.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the British curriculum and exam board requirements.
  • Support students in achieving academic success through personalized guidance and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and staff development initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with scientific advancements and integrate them into lesson planning.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent.
  • A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at IGCSE and/or A-Level.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a British international school.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge or Edexcel exam boards.
  • Experience with professional development and curriculum design.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between 34,000 — 42,000 EUR gross per year.
  • Permanent contract from day one ('contrato indefinido').
