Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning aligned with the school's policies and curriculum.
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages engagement, challenge, and achievement.
  • Identify and address the needs of SEN, EAL, and G&T students through differentiated instruction.
  • Use assessment data and performance indicators to inform and improve teaching and learning.
  • Utilize ICT to enhance learning and student progress.
  • Maintain discipline and support the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy'.
  • Assess student progress systematically and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to parents and support parent/student events.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and subject knowledge through CPD and professional reading.
  • Support the school's CAS Programme by leading after-school activities.
  • Mentor students and supervise Extended Essays in Years 12 and 13.
  • Undertake examination invigilation and cover for absent colleagues as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching IB and I/GCSE curricula.
  • Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.
  • Commitment to the school's vision and IB Philosophy and Mission Statement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across a range of abilities with proven success.
