The Opportunity:

As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the physical and personal development of students across all year groups. You will contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters excellence in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons aligned with the school’s teaching and learning policy.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all students, including those with special educational needs, EAL learners, and gifted and talented students.
• Use assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning and differentiate instruction.
• Maintain discipline and uphold the school’s behavior and punctuality standards.
• Mark student work regularly and set clear targets for improvement.
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents on student progress.
• Support the school’s CAS Programme by leading or assisting with after-school activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and update teaching resources.
• Participate in professional development and keep subject knowledge current.
• Undertake academic mentoring and support students with their Extended Essays.
• Fulfill staff duty rota responsibilities, including covering for absent colleagues and invigilating examinations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience.
• Proven ability to teach across a range of abilities.
• Experience teaching in international schools.
• Experience teaching IB and I/GCSE curricula.
• Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.
• Commitment to the school’s vision and IB philosophy.
• Strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to manage challenging situations.

Preferred

• Experience working in multiple international schools.
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
• Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
