As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students from KS3 to A Level. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to students across KS3, GCSE, and A Level, following Pearson curriculum guidelines.
- Design and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that promote deep understanding and curiosity in Chemistry.
- Collaborate with other Science teachers and department members to develop and update schemes of work.
- Support students through extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities in Chemistry.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement.
- Participate in the school’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program.
- Uphold the school’s values and professional standards at all times.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Chemistry teacher with relevant experience.
- Strong subject knowledge of Chemistry at KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in delivering lessons to a range of student abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.
Preferred
- Experience with the Pearson Chemistry curriculum.
- Early Career Teachers with a willingness to complete the ECT programme.
- Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular science activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
