The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students from KS3 to A Level. You will work in modern, well-equipped laboratories and contribute to a strong, collaborative Science department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to students across KS3, GCSE, and A Level, following Pearson curriculum guidelines.
  • Design and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that promote deep understanding and curiosity in Chemistry.
  • Collaborate with other Science teachers and department members to develop and update schemes of work.
  • Support students through extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities in Chemistry.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement.
  • Participate in the school’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program.
  • Uphold the school’s values and professional standards at all times.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Chemistry teacher with relevant experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge of Chemistry at KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in delivering lessons to a range of student abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Pearson Chemistry curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers with a willingness to complete the ECT programme.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular science activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
