The Opportunity:
A full-time Chemistry Teacher (Physics or Biology) is required to join a forward-thinking Science department. The role involves teaching Chemistry up to GCSE level, with the opportunity to contribute to A level teaching. The successful candidate will also teach one additional science subject at GCSE level and be an active member of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry up to and including GCSE level.
- Deliver one additional science subject at GCSE level.
- Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Science education and student outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry and either Physics or Biology.
- Experience teaching up to GCSE level.
- Willingness to contribute to school life and extracurricular activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Chemistry at A level.
- Experience in a co-educational or boarding school setting.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
