Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science across Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE ICT, and A Level Computing.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes computational thinking, digital literacy, and programming skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a dynamic and challenging curriculum.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualised learning strategies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in computing education.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the Computing/IT programme.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and initiatives that promote digital innovation and problem-solving.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the UK system (either in the UK or at a British international school).
  • Strong experience in teaching Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE ICT, and A Level Computing.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons in programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a British international school setting.
  • Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and technologies in computing education.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
