Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Teach theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science, including programming, cybersecurity, and IT applications.
  • Prepare students for examinations, coursework, and programming projects.
  • Monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of IT equipment and online platforms.
  • Support curriculum development and participate in extracurricular activities such as coding clubs.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science and/or ICT across secondary key stages.
  • Ability to teach GCSE and ideally A Level Computer Science.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and online learning platforms.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
