The Opportunity:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the school by supervising student learning, assisting with classroom activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment. This role is essential in ensuring that students continue to make progress even in the absence of their usual teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise student learning in the absence of teaching staff.
- Assist students with set activities and provide general support in the classroom.
- Uphold and maintain high standards of student behaviour and discipline.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff across departments.
- Use ICT tools and software to support learning and administrative tasks.
- Respond to student questions and provide guidance as needed.
- Contribute to the overall success of the school by ensuring a productive learning environment.
- Support the school in maintaining its commitment to student achievement and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
- ICT literacy and the ability to use a variety of software packages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and learning outcomes.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a teaching or support role within a school.
- Experience with curriculum delivery or classroom management.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Flexibility to work across different departments and support various subjects.
