The Opportunity:
A Dance Teacher is needed to deliver engaging co-curricular and extracurricular dance programs for students aged 12 to 18. This role will involve teaching lunchtime and after-school sessions, with the potential to support rehearsals and performances throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality dance instruction during lunchtime and after-school sessions.
- Collaborate with the Dance Department to develop and implement a dynamic curriculum.
- Support students in preparing for performances and co-curricular events.
- Engage with students across all year groups, with a primary focus on ages 12 to 18.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and students regarding program details and expectations.
- Stay up to date with current trends and techniques in dance education.
- Contribute to the overall arts and performance culture of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified and experienced Dance Teacher with a passion for teaching and performance.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and structured dance classes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with students aged 12 to 18.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience with co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
- Familiarity with the Performing Arts Centre and its facilities.
- Background in choreography and performance.
- Ability to support and lead school events and performances.
