The Opportunity:
As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and order across the school's 30-acre campus. This is a vital position that ensures the school remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach a small team of housekeepers to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards.
- Monitor staff attendance and maintain accurate timesheets for payroll and scheduling.
- Prepare school facilities for major and routine events, ensuring everything is in order.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school on a daily basis.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials are stocked, safely stored, and used appropriately.
- Assist with laundry and general cleaning tasks as required.
- Report any health and safety concerns promptly and take appropriate action.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a housekeeping or facilities management setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings.
- Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with managing a team and providing training.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a large or complex environment.
