The Opportunity:

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and order across the school's 30-acre campus. This is a vital position that ensures the school remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach a small team of housekeepers to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor staff attendance and maintain accurate timesheets for payroll and scheduling.
  • Prepare school facilities for major and routine events, ensuring everything is in order.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all cleaning materials are stocked, safely stored, and used appropriately.
  • Assist with laundry and general cleaning tasks as required.
  • Report any health and safety concerns promptly and take appropriate action.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a housekeeping or facilities management setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings.
  • Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience with managing a team and providing training.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a large or complex environment.
