Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the school’s academic, pastoral, and administrative operations.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision aligned with the school’s mission and the GDST’s values.
- Foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement across the school community.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and student well-being.
- Promote the school’s profile and reputation as a centre of excellence in girls’ education.
- Support the professional development of teaching and support staff.
- Oversee the effective use of resources and facilities to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.
- Strong track record in driving academic and pastoral improvements.
- Demonstrable experience in school management and strategic planning.
- Deep understanding of girls’ education and the GDST’s ethos and values.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a school through periods of change and growth.
- Knowledge of the independent school sector and its unique challenges and opportunities.
- Experience with school improvement initiatives and external partnerships.
- Familiarity with the GDST network and its collaborative approach to education.
