The Opportunity:

As the Deputy Head of Secondary School Academics, you will play a key role in driving academic excellence and school improvement. You will support the Head of Secondary and senior leadership in enhancing teaching and learning, strengthening data-informed practice, and developing middle leaders to lead improvement across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Secondary and senior leadership in driving academic improvement and whole-school development.
  • Strengthen data-informed practice and refine assessment and monitoring processes across the Secondary School.
  • Develop middle leaders through coaching, accountability structures, and targeted professional development.
  • Embed robust data systems and support self-evaluation processes to ensure consistent teaching and learning.
  • Ensure high standards of student progress, wellbeing, and parental engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Department to empower teams and drive improvement.
  • Support the implementation of international curricula such as IB-MYP and IB-DP.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art and a recognized teaching certification.
  • At least two years of experience in an international school.
  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership roles.
  • Strong communication and technology skills.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student progress.

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree or higher.
  • Experience in IB-MYP and IB-DP education systems.
  • Experience in assessment for learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to build leadership capacity and support professional development.
