The Opportunity:
As Head of Inclusion, you will lead and shape the school’s strategy for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion across all aspects of the educational experience. This role is central to ensuring that every student and staff member feels valued, respected, and supported. The Head of Inclusion will have a significant impact on the culture and success of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive inclusion policies and practices across the school.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Provide professional development and training on inclusion, equity, and diversity for staff.
- Liaise with parents, students, and external stakeholders to promote inclusion and community engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion initiatives and make data-driven recommendations.
- Support students with diverse needs through tailored interventions and resources.
- Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding across the school community.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks related to inclusion and diversity.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A BEd or Bachelor’s degree major in Special Education or equivalent, or PGCE with QTS (Special Education).
- Proven experience in teaching in primary classes.
- Strong ability to share exemplary teaching practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
- A proven track record of providing outstanding learning and teaching.
- Aspiration to work in a world-class school with opportunities for career growth.
Preferred
- Experience in leading inclusion initiatives or similar roles.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and school leadership.
- Experience with British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation or similar programs.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England and UAE Ministry of Education standards.
