The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head Teacher - Academic and Innovation to lead academic and digital initiatives across a school with a strong tradition of educational excellence. The role will focus on driving innovation, enhancing teaching and learning, and ensuring the school remains at the forefront of educational advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the academic strategy for the Senior School, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
- Oversee curriculum coherence, assessment practices, and academic progress across departments.
- Provide strategic leadership for digital transformation, innovation, and AI integration across the Foundation.
- Chair the Digital Strategy structure and implement recommendations from the recent ICT review.
- Ensure digital development aligns with teaching and learning effectiveness and the strategic plan.
- Act as a bridge between educational vision, classroom needs, and digital capabilities.
- Foster collaboration between academic and digital teams to enhance pedagogical approaches.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital initiatives on teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in academic leadership within an educational setting.
- Strong background in digital strategy, innovation, and technology integration in education.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead academic departments effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the welfare and development of pupils.
Preferred
- Experience in leading digital transformation projects in education.
- Knowledge of AI and emerging technologies in teaching and learning.
- Experience in curriculum design and assessment strategies.
- Leadership experience in a multi-school environment.
