The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head Teacher - Academic and Innovation to lead academic and digital initiatives across a school with a strong tradition of educational excellence. The role will focus on driving innovation, enhancing teaching and learning, and ensuring the school remains at the forefront of educational advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the academic strategy for the Senior School, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Oversee curriculum coherence, assessment practices, and academic progress across departments.
  • Provide strategic leadership for digital transformation, innovation, and AI integration across the Foundation.
  • Chair the Digital Strategy structure and implement recommendations from the recent ICT review.
  • Ensure digital development aligns with teaching and learning effectiveness and the strategic plan.
  • Act as a bridge between educational vision, classroom needs, and digital capabilities.
  • Foster collaboration between academic and digital teams to enhance pedagogical approaches.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital initiatives on teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in academic leadership within an educational setting.
  • Strong background in digital strategy, innovation, and technology integration in education.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead academic departments effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the welfare and development of pupils.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading digital transformation projects in education.
  • Knowledge of AI and emerging technologies in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Leadership experience in a multi-school environment.
