Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons in Design and Technology to students aged 11-18
• Plan and assess student work in accordance with UK curriculum standards
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Manage classroom activities effectively and maintain a safe, supportive learning space
• Stay up to date with the latest educational practices and technological tools in design and technology
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences
• Support students in developing practical skills through hands-on projects and activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design and Technology or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Design and Technology at the secondary/high school level
• Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum for Design and Technology
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans that engage diverse learners
• Proficient in using design and technology tools, materials, and software

Preferred

• Experience teaching within an international school setting
• Familiarity with Islamic values and cultural diversity in education
• Experience with continuous professional development and innovative teaching methods
