Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Construction at KS4 with a focus on student achievement and engagement.
- Deliver a dynamic and innovative curriculum that encourages creativity and independent learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Manage and maintain well-resourced Design Technology facilities, including workshops and computer suites.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in Design Technology.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that enhance student learning.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their well-being and personal development.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in Design Technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design Technology.
- Ability to teach Construction at KS4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values.
- Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
- Familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing technologies.
- Background in providing pastoral support to students.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or working with diverse student populations.
