Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Construction at KS4 with a focus on student achievement and engagement.
  • Deliver a dynamic and innovative curriculum that encourages creativity and independent learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Manage and maintain well-resourced Design Technology facilities, including workshops and computer suites.
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in Design Technology.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that enhance student learning.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their well-being and personal development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in Design Technology.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design Technology.
  • Ability to teach Construction at KS4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values.
  • Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing technologies.
  • Background in providing pastoral support to students.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or working with diverse student populations.
