The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons that promote curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that challenge and support students of all abilities.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of Science education.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting the HEART values and encouraging student achievement and personal best.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and national standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science with the ability to bring lessons to life in the classroom.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal best, with a focus on inclusive and challenging teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience with delivering Science to students aged 11-16.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with CPD and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on student achievement and personal growth.
