The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic Art, Design and Technology Faculty as an Art Teacher. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a well-established and innovative department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Art, with a particular interest in ceramics, and capable of delivering across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Art, Textiles, 3D Design and Graphics.
  • Support the Director of Art, Design and Technology in strategic planning and curriculum development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, sharing best practice and resources within the AD&T Faculty.
  • Stimulate curiosity and enjoyment in students, ensuring a broad and ambitious curriculum.
  • Oversee the writing and delivery of workbooks and ensure effective access to resources.
  • Ensure lessons are of the highest standard, promoting mastery of knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in Art and ceramics, communicating it effectively in both practical and theory lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Design.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art, with a particular interest in ceramics.
  • Ability to deliver across Art, Textiles, 3D Design and Graphics.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE-level teaching and assessment.
  • Experience in leading or supporting a team of teachers.
  • Experience in developing and delivering workbooks or schemes of work.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar.
