Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging German as a Foreign Language lessons tailored to students’ varying levels of ability.
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages independent learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective teaching strategies and curricula.
  • Monitor and support the social-emotional well-being of students, documenting and communicating relevant information to the Student Support Service Team.
  • Set clear, challenging, and achievable expectations to promote student progress and development.
  • Continuously update and improve your subject knowledge and teaching methods.
  • Support and embody the school’s mission and the IB Learner Profile values in daily teaching and interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Successful completion of a degree in Germanistik or Deutsch als Fremdsprache.
  • Proven experience as a DaF teacher.
  • Strong command of English.
  • Ability to work in an international educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international school environment.
  • Familiarity with the IB curriculum and teaching approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
