The Opportunity:
As the Director of HR, you will lead and shape the future of human resources across a large and complex organisation. This is a strategic role with the opportunity to drive organisational improvement, build strong relationships, and influence the culture and direction of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the school’s vision and values.
- Lead and manage a high-performing HR team across multiple settings.
- Provide expert advice to the Executive Team on workforce planning, culture, compliance, and organisational development.
- Drive organisational change and ensure the quality and consistency of HR services.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, external stakeholders, and senior leaders.
- Navigate complex people matters with sound judgment, professionalism, and expertise.
- Support the development of staff through professional growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all HR practices meet the highest standards of compliance and excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading HR functions within large and complex organisations.
- Strong track record in organisational development and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage at senior leadership levels.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and workforce planning.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in education or public sector HR.
- Background in strategic planning and people development.
- Knowledge of educational standards and school improvement frameworks.
- Experience in leading HR transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
