Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to students aged 11-18
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies based on research and best practice
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback and intervention
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Mathematics Faculty
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and enthusiasm for Mathematics
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student achievement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 5
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
  • Experience with digital tools and resources in Mathematics education
  • Experience with inclusion and differentiated teaching strategies
