The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of music education and make a lasting impact on students' lives. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality music instruction at both KS3 and KS4 levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and deliver high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for music.
- Manage and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Support the school’s mission by contributing to extra-curricular activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum and student experience.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Engage with the local community through music-related initiatives and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 music.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to the school’s mission of awakening minds, achieving dreams, and serving others.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with music technology and digital resources.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular music activities.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in music education.
