The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of music education and make a lasting impact on students' lives. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality music instruction at both KS3 and KS4 levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and deliver high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student achievement and enthusiasm for music.
  • Manage and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Support the school’s mission by contributing to extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum and student experience.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Engage with the local community through music-related initiatives and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 music.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission of awakening minds, achieving dreams, and serving others.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with music technology and digital resources.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular music activities.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in music education.
