The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Religious Education Teacher to join a dynamic team and contribute to the academic and spiritual development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons that engage and challenge students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Promote the school’s mission of awakening minds, achieving dreams, and serving others through active participation in school and community activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding outcomes through differentiated instruction and assessment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral care, extra-curricular activities, and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with school and statutory requirements.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge and skills through training and reflection.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
  • Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school or similar faith-based setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
