The Opportunity:
As the Director of Inclusion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school’s approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion. You will lead the development and implementation of inclusive policies that ensure all students, including those with diverse learning needs, thrive in a supportive and equitable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the institution.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, leadership, and external partners to ensure inclusive practices are embedded in all areas of school life.
- Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and opportunity for all students and staff.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion policies and programs on student outcomes.
- Provide training and support to staff on inclusive teaching strategies and practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices in education inclusion.
- Promote the school’s inclusion initiatives to parents, students, and the wider community.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align inclusion goals with the school’s overall mission and vision.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, with a focus on inclusion and diversity.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices, policies, and legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of equity and inclusion.
Preferred
- Experience in a British curriculum school or international school setting.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Experience in curriculum development or policy implementation.
- Strong background in leadership development and team building.
