School Nurse

The Opportunity:

As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students across a school with two state-of-the-art campuses. You will provide essential medical care, support staff training, and ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate health care services to meet the needs of the school community
• Act as a clinical expert and lead in the development of school nursing practices
• Participate in staff training on medical treatment and student health care protocols
• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student health and nursing care
• Ensure that all medical supplies and equipment are available and in working condition
• Administer medicines and treatments in accordance with the School Medical Officer’s standing orders
• Coordinate the transfer of students to the nearest hospital when necessary, following standard procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Valid DHA License
• BLS/First Aid certificate
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate, or willingness to obtain it
• Infectious Disease Control training
• Excellent written and spoken English
• At least 2 years of experience working in the UAE
• Previous experience in a school, nursery, or working with children
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred

• Experience in a school nursing role
• Experience with student health management systems
• Knowledge of UK National Curriculum and related health protocols
