The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced Cover Teacher to join its team for a Term 3 start. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, where academic excellence and student development are at the core of everything the school does.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 4 and 5 in a structured and engaging manner.
  • Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence by maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt to the school’s curriculum, which follows the UK National Curriculum of England and prepares students for IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTEC qualifications.
  • Engage with students in a positive and encouraging manner, promoting a culture of respect, wholeness, and excellence.
  • Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to support student development and school community.
  • Contribute to the school’s House system, fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to ensure student progress is monitored effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Bachelor’s degree in a subject relevant to the teaching specialism, with a PGCE or Master’s in Education
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 in a UK-based or renowned British Curriculum international school
  • At least 25 years of age

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school rated 'Outstanding' by educational authorities
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and international qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
