The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an experienced Cover Teacher to join its team for a Term 3 start. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, where academic excellence and student development are at the core of everything the school does.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 4 and 5 in a structured and engaging manner.
- Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence by maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Adapt to the school’s curriculum, which follows the UK National Curriculum of England and prepares students for IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTEC qualifications.
- Engage with students in a positive and encouraging manner, promoting a culture of respect, wholeness, and excellence.
- Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to support student development and school community.
- Contribute to the school’s House system, fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to ensure student progress is monitored effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject relevant to the teaching specialism, with a PGCE or Master’s in Education
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience
- Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 in a UK-based or renowned British Curriculum international school
- At least 25 years of age
Preferred
- Experience working in a school rated 'Outstanding' by educational authorities
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and international qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
