As the Director of Sport, you will lead and develop a comprehensive sports programme across all key stages. This is a strategic and hands-on role that will shape the future of sport at a school where it is central to student life. The successful candidate will build structures, drive standards, and deliver a competitive, well-organised programme that reflects the school’s ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop sport across all key stages
• Design and manage a structured, competitive fixtures programme
• Oversee training schedules, staffing, and facility use
• Line manage sports staff and external coaches
• Develop participation pathways alongside high performance opportunities
• Work closely with the Head of Competitive Sport to ensure alignment between participation sport and elite performance pathways
• Collaborate with pastoral and academic teams to support student athletes
• Manage risk, safeguarding, and compliance within all sporting activity

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience leading sport within a structured and competitive school environment
• Ability to build and manage large, fixture-based sports programmes
• Confidence in managing staff, logistics, and performance expectations
• Experience combining participation sport with high performance pathways
• Strong organisational skills and clarity of systems
• Commitment to safeguarding and compliance in sporting activities

Preferred

• Ability to teach IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science
• International school experience
• Experience in an alpine or outdoor education setting
