The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring the next generation of scientists in a unique alpine setting. You will teach science to motivated students from around the world and contribute to a progressive, interdisciplinary curriculum that emphasizes inquiry-based learning and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across the Secondary School (Years 7 to 13), including IB MYP and Diploma Programmes
  • Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote scientific curiosity and critical thinking
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives
  • Participate in school trips, expeditions, and outdoor activities that support student development
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth
  • Contribute to the development of a forward-thinking, innovative curriculum
  • Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay current with science education trends and integrate technology into teaching

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in Chemistry or another science discipline
  • Proven teaching experience with a track record of excellent student outcomes
  • EU passport or valid Swiss work permit

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB or other international curricula
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for outdoor education and mountain leadership
  • Experience working in an international school setting
