The Opportunity:

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality drama education to students at all levels, from GCSE to A Level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging drama lessons across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Support students in developing their performance, acting, and theatre-making skills.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including major productions, workshops, and LAMDA training.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff in the Drama and Dance Department.
  • Manage and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in drama education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
  • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in drama education.
  • Ability to teach drama up to A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for theatre, performance, and drama education.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Year 9 English.
  • Experience in teaching or coaching Dance.
  • Experience with LAMDA and vocational pathways for performers.
