As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality drama education to students at all levels, from GCSE to A Level. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging drama lessons across a range of ages and abilities.
- Support students in developing their performance, acting, and theatre-making skills.
- Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including major productions, workshops, and LAMDA training.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff in the Drama and Dance Department.
- Manage and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in drama education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student progress and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in drama education.
- Ability to teach drama up to A Level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for theatre, performance, and drama education.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Year 9 English.
- Experience in teaching or coaching Dance.
- Experience with LAMDA and vocational pathways for performers.
