The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher (Temporary) to join a dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic, technology-driven learning environment where every student uses an iPad to enhance engagement and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging drama lessons that foster creativity and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Learning for Performance to develop and implement a cohesive drama curriculum.
  • Support student development through individualized instruction and formative assessment.
  • Integrate technology into teaching, using iPads to enhance learning and reduce administrative workload.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote student well-being, behaviour, and academic excellence.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support the school’s enrichment program by providing opportunities for students to grow and develop outside the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a valid teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching drama at the secondary level.
  • Passion for the subject and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with technology-enhanced learning, including the use of iPads in the classroom.
  • Experience in developing and delivering enrichment programs or extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Familiarity with Apple Distinguished School practices and technology integration.
