The Opportunity:
As a Dutch Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and structured language lessons to students of all levels. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners and contribute to a vibrant, multilingual department that values diversity and excellence in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Dutch lessons to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
- Teach in small group conversation classes and individual private lessons.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations when required.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Modern Languages Department to enhance the curriculum.
- Support the school’s mission of encouraging curiosity, innovation, and a love of learning.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in professional development and school events as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong academic background in Dutch language and culture.
- Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in language instruction.
- Experience teaching students of varying proficiency levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in a school setting, particularly in a boarding school.
- Familiarity with GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, especially those relevant to the school’s multilingual environment.
- Experience with continuous professional development and training programs.
