The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children during a crucial stage of their learning journey. You will help foster social and communication skills, and document progress to celebrate individual achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and nurture children through their early development stages
  • Record observations and summarise achievements to track progress
  • Encourage and develop social and communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a consistent and supportive environment
  • Create engaging and stimulating learning experiences
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all children
  • Follow and implement the school’s policies and procedures
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with young children
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and planning skills

Preferred

  • Experience in an early years setting
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories
  • Experience with recording and reporting child progress
  • Experience in a school or educational environment
