The Opportunity:

As a School Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment. This is a part-time, 15-hour-per-week position that includes term time, non-pupil days, and additional weeks during school closures. You will work as part of a team to ensure the school remains welcoming and hygienic for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean classrooms, corridors, and toilets in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitiser.
• Follow a cleaning rota and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and safely.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the school.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment when required.
• Support the overall operations of the school by maintaining a tidy and welcoming environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Ability to use general cleaning products.
• Ability to complete basic forms.
• Ability to exchange routine verbal information clearly.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
• Familiarity with school environments and the needs of students and staff.
• Experience with health and safety procedures in the workplace.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks.
