Education Support Worker opportunity in Hamilton, Leicester. Support students with disabilities and learning difficulties.

The Opportunity:
As an Education Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping students with physical disabilities and/or learning difficulties develop their independence. This is a rewarding position that requires a supportive and encouraging approach, with the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with physical disabilities and learning difficulties in a classroom setting.
- Encourage and promote the independence of students through respectful and positive interaction.
- Assist with personal care tasks where required, with training provided.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure the needs of students are met.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and grow.
- Help with administrative tasks related to student support.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 qualification in Education Support or equivalent experience.
- Experience of providing classroom support to students with learning difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
- Commitment to supporting students with disabilities and learning challenges.
Preferred
- Experience in supporting students with personal care needs.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary of £18,059.
- 34½ hours per week, 35 weeks per year.
