The Opportunity:

As a Library Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the school’s libraries and delivering library and reading services that support students’ learning, reading, and literacy skills. This is a key role in fostering a culture of lifelong learning and intellectual curiosity within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the operations of the school’s library services.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote reading, literacy, and learning among students.
• Ensure that library resources are well-maintained, up-to-date, and accessible to all students and staff.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery and student learning outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to students on how to use library resources effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of library services on student engagement and achievement.
• Organize and manage library events, reading initiatives, and other related activities.
• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages all students to use the library.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in library management or a related educational role.
• Strong knowledge of library systems, cataloging, and resource management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to promoting reading and literacy among students.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Familiarity with digital library tools and technologies.
• Experience in developing and delivering library-based learning programs.
• Strong understanding of student needs and learning outcomes.
