The Opportunity:
A Food Technology Teacher is needed to inspire students and foster a passion for food technology within a dynamic and successful department. The role offers a supportive working environment and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and Ofsted standards.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive departmental programme.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment in the Food Technology classroom.
- Participate in the school’s CPD programme and contribute to staff development.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school and its ethos.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Food Technology or related subject experience.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
- Experience of teaching students aged 11-16.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-focused lessons.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on student personal development.
- Experience of working in a multi-award-winning school environment.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and best practice in education.
- Experience with cross-curricular collaboration and departmental planning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of MPS/UPS £32,916 - £51,048 per annum.
