The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and Ofsted standards.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive departmental programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment in the Food Technology classroom.
  • Participate in the school’s CPD programme and contribute to staff development.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school and its ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Food Technology or related subject experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
  • Experience of teaching students aged 11-16.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-focused lessons.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on student personal development.
  • Experience of working in a multi-award-winning school environment.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and best practice in education.
  • Experience with cross-curricular collaboration and departmental planning.
