Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support a bilingual and multicultural learning experience.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those learning English as an additional language.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and emotionally supportive atmosphere for all students.
- Support the school’s mission by contributing to extracurricular activities and community events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Commitment to fostering a positive classroom environment and student well-being.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to teach in both languages.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Previous experience in an EAL (English as an Additional Language) context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
