Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a bilingual and multicultural learning experience.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including those learning English as an additional language.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and emotionally supportive atmosphere for all students.
  • Support the school’s mission by contributing to extracurricular activities and community events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive classroom environment and student well-being.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to teach in both languages.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Previous experience in an EAL (English as an Additional Language) context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
