The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a History Teacher, delivering the IB Diploma Programme and international curricula. This role is ideal for educators passionate about history and committed to inspiring students in a bilingual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History at secondary and high school levels, focusing on the IB Diploma Programme (DP).
  • Deliver lessons in English, ensuring alignment with international curriculum standards.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support both international and Mexican national curricula.
  • Assess student performance in line with IB and other international frameworks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning and student engagement.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills through history.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in History, Humanities, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching IB Diploma Programme (DP) History.
  • Native or strong English proficiency (C1 or higher; C2 preferred).
  • Experience teaching History at secondary and high school level.
  • Ability to teach and assess within an international curriculum framework.

Preferred

  • Experience with Cambridge Lower Secondary (Humanities / Global Perspectives).
  • Experience working in bilingual or multilingual school environments.
  • Familiarity with the Mexican national curriculum (SEP/CCH).
