The Opportunity:

As an Engineering Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering an innovative, employer-led curriculum to students from Years 9 to 13. You will collaborate with industry partners and design lessons that connect academic theory with real-world applications, helping students develop the skills needed for future careers in engineering and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that bridge academic theory and real-world industrial practice.
  • Collaborate directly with industry partners to provide students with authentic learning experiences.
  • Foster learner employability skills and maintain excellent classroom discipline.
  • Contribute to enrichment programs that support student development and engagement.
  • Support students in identifying their strengths and reaching their full potential.
  • Analyze student data to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and industry partners.
  • Promote a professional ethos and culture that mirrors modern engineering and technology workplaces.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Engineering, Electronics, or Product Design.
  • 5 A*-C GCSEs including English and Maths.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Industry-based professional experience.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • A track record of driving outstanding student outcomes.
