The Opportunity:

As an Unqualified Engineering Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a hands-on, industry-influenced curriculum to students in Years 9 to 13. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers while receiving full support to develop your teaching qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, practical lessons that connect academic theory with real-world engineering applications.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to provide students with meaningful learning experiences and real-life projects.
  • Foster employability skills and maintain a disciplined, workshop-style learning environment.
  • Contribute to world-class enrichment programs that support student development and career readiness.
  • Support students of all abilities and help them reach their full potential.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and industry partners.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and work towards achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 A*-C (or 9-4) GCSEs including English and Maths.
  • Deep subject knowledge or industry experience in Engineering, Electronics, or Product Design.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and industry partners.
  • A passion for learning and a desire to develop outstanding classroom practice.

Preferred

  • Industry-based professional experience.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in delivering vocational or technical qualifications.
