As an Engineering Technician, you will support teaching and learning in a practical engineering environment. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, preparing resources, and ensuring a safe and effective learning space for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining equipment and materials for practical lessons
- Supporting teaching staff and students during workshop activities
- Maintaining machinery, tools, and safety equipment
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Assisting in the development of technical skills among students
- Collaborating with teaching staff to enhance the learning experience
- Keeping accurate records of equipment and materials used
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in an engineering or technical environment
- Strong practical skills in machining and bench work
- Confidence using IT systems
- Well organised and detail-oriented
- Commitment to supporting high-quality education
Preferred
- Experience in an educational or training setting
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment
- Ability to provide technical guidance to students
- Experience with equipment maintenance and repair
