Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and individualised lessons tailored to the needs of students with complex needs and autism.
- Work closely with families, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Develop and implement individual education plans that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and Trust to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
- Participate in professional development and research initiatives to continually improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to parents and carers.
- Support students in developing life skills and preparing for transitions to further education and adult life.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with children with complex needs and autism.
- Strong knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual students.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering individual education plans.
- Background in practitioner-led research or innovative teaching methods.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Familiarity with the Bridge Trust’s values and approach to education.
