Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to students aged 11 to 16.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that supports diverse learning needs and prepares students for GCSE.
  • Coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty members to support student achievement and development.
  • Contribute to the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of attainment.
  • Support the school’s mission to inspire future leaders through extracurricular and enrichment activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and engage learners effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in middle leadership or a desire to progress into a leadership role.
  • Experience of working in a school with a leadership specialism.
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills.
  • Experience in a disadvantaged community setting.
